Recipe Tips:

  • Use Yukon Gold Potatoes: They give a creamy and smooth texture that’s perfect for mashed potatoes.
  • Don’t Overmix: Overbeating the potatoes can make them gluey. Mash gently for the best texture.
  • Roast the Garlic: Roasting garlic brings out a sweeter, milder flavor compared to raw garlic.
  • Warm the Cream and Butter: Warm ingredients mix better, giving the mashed potatoes a smooth consistency.
  • Season Gradually: Taste and adjust the salt to avoid over-seasoning. You can always add more, but you can’t take it out!

How To Store & Reheat Leftovers?

  • Refrigerate: Let the potatoes cool to room temperature before putting them in an airtight container. Store in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Freeze: Freeze the mashed potatoes for up to 2 months.
  • Reheat: Reheat the mashed potatoes in a pan on low heat. Stir and add cream or milk if needed.
