How Chef Ramsay Recipes researches, writes, illustrates and corrects its pages. Last updated 13 September 2026.
Sources
Every recipe starts from a Gordon Ramsay original: one of the 24 cookbooks we own, or a public video or broadcast. The page names the book (and page range where useful) and links the video. When several versions exist, we say which one we followed and why.
Writing
We write every page ourselves, in our own words, for a home cook using a US kitchen. We do not copy text from the books. Direct quotations from Gordon Ramsay are limited to a single line and always attributed. Quantities and methods are reported faithfully; adaptations (units, substitutions, timing) are marked as ours.
Testing notes
When we have cooked a recipe, the page says so and describes what we observed. When we have not, the page does not claim it. We never invent anecdotes.
Ratings and comments
Star ratings on a recipe come from readers only. We do not seed ratings or reviews. Reader comments are moderated for spam and abuse only.
Images
- Photos taken in our kitchen carry a credit line.
- AI-generated illustrations are labelled “AI-generated illustration” in the caption and carry the standard AI-content metadata in the file. They show what the finished dish should look like; they are not photos of our cooking and are never described as such.
- We do not use photographs of Gordon Ramsay, his restaurants, his books’ pages or his television programmes.
Dates and corrections
Every page shows a publish date and a “last checked” date. Corrections reported to us are fixed within a week; substantive changes are logged on the About page.
Advertising and affiliate links
The site is funded by advertising and by affiliate links, disclosed next to the link. We do not publish sponsored recipes. See Advertising disclosure.
Independence
Chef Ramsay Recipes is an independent, unofficial fan site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Gordon Ramsay, his companies or his publishers.
